Seoul Travel Tips Pt. 2 w/ Alex
Hi!
Welcome back to TurbulenceandTokyo!
This is Part 2 of Seoul Travel Tips.
1. Visit the DMZ, Demilitarized Zone and peek into North Korea. But watch out for nukes. And don't cross the line. Don't.
2. If you're meeting Korean friends, or locals, make sure to know the names of the popular K-pop groups. Girls Generation, EXO, etc.
3. DO NOT stay up binge watching Korean dramas. I learned this one the hard way. One you start, you really can't stop!
4. Download the Seoul Metro app, in case you need to take the subway. This was extremely useful as I didn't have data in SK.
5. Bring an adapter unless you live in Europe or Asia. SK uses a 220V power outlet and the plug needs two round pins. ("europlug")
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and have a great time in Seoul.
I'll probably make a follow-up so bookmark my blog!
PS: if you want to request a travel guide, just fire me an email at - byteofcherrypi@gmail.com -

Seoul Travel Tips
Hi and welcome back to my blog!
I recently went to Seoul and had a great time.
Here are some Seoul travel tips for you!
1. Check out Myeongdong market! It's the Korean version of Fifth Avenue. Littered with hordes of Korean beauty stores, Myeongdong is an essential part of any trip.
2. Download Google Translate and download the Korean offline mode which lets you user it without an internet connection. This was extremely useful during my stay in Seoul.
3. If you going from late November to early April, make sure to bring heavy clothing. Additionally, hand warmers would be a good investment. (I forgot these and my hands were freezing icicles until a kind tour guide took pity on me and lent me one)
4. Eat authentic Korean barbecue. Try the Galbi and Bibimbap. I've had Korean cuisine in my neighborhood, but it's nowhere as good as the real thing. Get it from the source.
5. Stay away from street food because you don't know how they are preparing the food.
6. Visit the Presidential Palace.
7. Go watch some K-pop!
That's it for now!
Thanks for reading.
Stay tuned for Pt. 2 and check out my other post for "Best Souvenirs from Seoul"
