Eiffel Tower Travel Tips, Tricks, and Hacks with Alex Pt. 1

Hi!
I recently started planning for my Paris trip and thought I'd share some of the stuff I learned with you guys!

1. Taking the Metro? Get out at the Trocadero stop, which has a far better view of the Eiffel Tower, than the Bir-Hakeim, despite what most say.

2. Watch the news for important information- weather, terrorist attacks, etc.

3. Take the stairs! Don't wait 2 hours for an elevator. Besides, the stairs allow you to take your time and enjor your view. And also burn off fat you gained from gorging on croissants!

4. Take a video of the entire tower, whether you take the elevator or the stairs. I recommend getting a strap on camera like a GoPro. The camera will capture everything, so you won't miss out.

5. Download a 360 degree Camera App, even if you don't have a VR set. They can be viewed directly on your phone and shared with everyone. I reccomend Google's Cardboard Camera. (Free)

Ok!
That's it for now!
Bye!

How to Survive Your Trip to the Golden Gate Bridge with Alex Pt. 1

Hi!
Here are the top 5 tips for surviving your trip!

1. Bring sunglasses, googles, or some type of eyewear. Up on the Bridge, winds are extremely high and the large gusts blowing in your face don't make it a very pleasing experience.

2. Don't underestimate the weather. Because of the heavy winds, you should subtract 5 degrees Fahrenheit from the weather forecast.

3. If you have kids, plan out how far you will go. This can be based on age, mentality, etc. Some children, and even adults, can be frightened by the speeding cars rushing by. If you want to go the whole length, just take a taxi or ferry back from the other side.

4. Hold on to your belongings and cameras- especially when taking pictures ! I saw a couple lose their phone to a particularly nasty gust of wind when they were taking selfies.

5. Use the bathroom before going on the bridge. There are no rest stops along the way. MAKE SURE that your kids go too, regardless of what they say.

Ok!
That's it for Pt. 1

Seoul Travel Tips Pt. 2 w/ Alex

Hi!
Welcome back to TurbulenceandTokyo!
This is Part 2 of Seoul Travel Tips.

1. Visit the DMZ, Demilitarized Zone and peek into North Korea. But watch out for nukes. And don't cross the line. Don't.

2. If you're meeting Korean friends, or locals, make sure to know the names of the popular K-pop groups. Girls Generation, EXO, etc.

3. DO NOT stay up binge watching Korean dramas. I learned this one the hard way. One you start, you really can't stop!

4. Download the Seoul Metro app, in case you need to take the subway. This was extremely useful as I didn't have data in SK.

5. Bring an adapter unless you live in Europe or Asia. SK uses a 220V power outlet and the plug needs two round pins. ("europlug")

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and have a great time in Seoul.
I'll probably make a follow-up so bookmark my blog!

Seoul Travel Tips

Hi and welcome back to my blog!

I recently went to Seoul and had a great time.

Here are some Seoul travel tips for you!

1. Check out Myeongdong market! It's the Korean version of Fifth Avenue. Littered with hordes of Korean beauty stores, Myeongdong is an essential part of any trip.

Myeongdong
2. Download Google Translate and download the Korean offline mode which lets you user it without an internet connection. This was extremely useful during my stay in Seoul.

3. If you going from late November to early April, make sure to bring heavy clothing. Additionally, hand warmers would be a good investment. (I forgot these and my hands were freezing icicles until a kind tour guide took pity on me and lent me one)

4. Eat authentic Korean barbecue. Try the Galbi and Bibimbap. I've had Korean cuisine in my neighborhood, but it's nowhere as good as the real thing. Get it from the source.

5. Stay away from street food because you don't know how they are preparing the food.

6. Visit the Presidential Palace.

7. Go watch some K-pop!

That's it for now!
Thanks for reading.
